In
operation since 1947, Hughes Bros. Aircrafters, Inc. has been at
the forefront in the manufacture of precision airframe sheet metal
details and assemblies. We are known for our abilities to take a
project from a concept, blueprint or digital data to completed assembly.
Since its inception, Hughes Bros. has been under the same ownership at
the same location. This foundation has and continues to give our
customers the confidence that every product that we manufacture
is of the very best quality possible.
We strive to remain the leader and have taken many steps to ensure
that we remain on the cutting edge of technology. With the tried and
true method of drop hammer, press brake or rubber box forming
coupled with our newest additions of a Three Dimensional, Five-Axes
Water Jet system and a Coordinate
Measuring Machine (CMM), we will continue to blend our core
specialties with the latest technology in order to support a new generation of aircraft.
With
the quality required in today's environment and in our endeavor to
be certified in the newest quality systems, Hughes Bros. embarked
on a nine month session of training conducted by El Camino College
in conjunction with the California Manufacturing Technologies and
the State of California Employment Training Panel. The training
was given to all company employees. The curriculum included basic
math, blueprint reading, metallurgy, SPC, TQM, TLC and lean
manufacturing. Our combined efforts played a major part in our accreditation as a Boeing D1-9000 Rev A
supplier. We are currently approved
to AS9100 N/C and are nearing our completion of the
requirements of AS9100 Rev A. Remedial training is completed as
necessary and new requirements are implemented as required.
Recently, we received a Nadcap certification for the
heat treatment of Aluminum alloys. This is indeed a necessary step
forward in our efforts comply with the ever-changing aerospace
industry.
Additionally, we are honored to be a part of some of our customers'
delegated source programs, such as the Boeing Commercial Aircraft (
Wichita & Seattle ) - Delegated Source, Boeing Integrated Defense
Systems ( Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Mesa ) - PVA, Boeing Transport Aircraft
( Macon & Long Beach ) - PSID, and Northrop Grumman's
Key Plan program. Under all of these programs, Hughes Bros. performs
final acceptance inspection and ships directly to our customers'
stock.
We
welcome all inquiries as to our capabilities, and look forward to
maintaining old relationships as well as establishing new ones.
